Managing Winter Energy Bills
Over the months of January and February, Boone Electric Cooperative sold a record number of kilowatt hours of energy to its member-owners. Those two months saw some extremely cold days, with temperatures well below normal. Cooperative members continue to see higher bills due to the increase in energy usage.
The month of March arrived with an ice storm and continued cold weather. We certainly enjoyed the warmer weather of the past week. However, it's important to remember that winter weather can quickly return to mid-Missouri.
