In recognition of former CEO/General Manager Robert Alderson (CEO 1977-2000) the Trust awards 12-$2,000 scholarships in May of each year. Scholarships are awarded to one graduating student from each of the public high schools in the Boone Electric Cooperative service area. Four at-large scholarships are also available to students from private schools, home schools and nontraditional backgrounds.
Students attending one of the eight public schools in Boone Electric's service area should contact their high school guidance counselor for application due dates.
