Let Boone Electric take care of your bill with the AUTO-PAY Plan! Automatic payment is for members who want the convenience of having their monthly bill paid through an automatic electronic transfer.

Auto Pay allows you to pay your bill through an automatic electronic transfer from your checking/savings account or charge it to a credit card. You will receive a monthly statement showing the amount paid. Sign in or register for the SmartHub payment service to get started. Choose Auto Pay Accounts under the Billing and Payments tab. Sign up by phone using SecurePay when making your next payment.

* Please note when signing up for Auto Pay that current and past due balances must be paid first. Only future charges will be paid by Auto Pay.

SmartHub is an online billing and payment portal that offers a web version and a mobile app. The web version is available here, on our website under ‘My Account’ – ‘SmartHub’ and under ‘Quick Links’ at the bottom of any page. Also under ‘My Account’ is the link ‘SmartHub One-Time Bill Pay‘. You can use this link to pay your monthly bill without registering for SmartHub by using your account number. The ‘Pay Invoices‘ link also uses SmartHub.

The SmartHub app is available in the App Store and Google Play Store. SmartHub lets you receive bill reminders and gives you the ability to contact member services. SmartHub also lets you manage your electricity use. Find out more.

Our Member Service Representatives are available to take your payment in cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, debit card or money order. Our lobby is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday -Friday at 1413 Rangeline St.

Our drive-up payment kiosk is located in front of the community building. It accepts Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, cash or check. No change is given for cash payments. You will need your account number and the name and phone number associated with the account.

Boone Electric offers Secure Pay. Secure Pay is our secure automated phone system where credit cards, debit cards or checking accounts can be used to make protected payments. Call 573-449-4181 to be transferred to the automated system or call the system directly, 877-999-3416. To make a payment with the automated system, you must first have the account number found on your bill. Then, simply follow the series of prompts to enter the payment. Full and partial payments are accepted.

MoneyGram can be used to make cash payments. You can visit MoneyGram.com to find participating locations. You will be charged a fee per transaction by MoneyGram (Boone Electric does not charge a fee for the service). All you need is your account number when making your payment.

Prepaid Billing puts the control of billing in your hands. There is no monthly bill and you pay as you go.

Prepaid Billing is like driving your car. You fill your car up with gas and go as far as it will take you. The way you drive affects how much gas you use. Your home’s electricity is like the gas in the car. Once you’ve used what you paid for, you refill your account. And just like driving habits can extend or shorten a tank of gas, choices you make about electricity and energy efficiency can affect how long the kWh purchase will last.

Boone Electric will send notifications when your credit balance is getting low. You can set up notifications by text or email through SmartHub. The SmartHub app is a convenient and easy way to keep track of your account. You can view your electric use daily or by month. Payments can be made directly on the SmartHub app, at the office, by phone or our kiosk. View the FAQs to learn more. Don’t see your question? Call us at 573-449-4181 so we can help.

Budget Billing is available to members who wish to pay the same amount each month and not be surprised by higher summer or winter bills. We will estimate your monthly consumption based on a past year’s usage. The budget bill amount may be increased or decreased based on the actual usage varying substantially from the previous 12 months. Your account will be recalculated each April. The budget bill amount will increase or decrease starting with your May bill, depending upon your usage over the past year. If you owe a balance, that balance is factored into the adjustment and spread out over the next 12 monthly bills, rather than billed in one lump sum. Any credit balances on your account will be spread out in the same manner. To qualify for Boone Electric’s Budget Billing program, a member must meet the following guidelines:

  • Account(s) must have a good payment record with the cooperative
  • Maintain check writing privileges with the cooperative
  • Residence at current service location for 12 months

You also can participate in budget automatic payments, meaning we can sign you up for both auto-pay and budget billing. Then, the same amount will be electronically transferred from your bank account or charged to your credit card every month.

EVolve® is a time-of-use rate where energy consumed during specific time periods will be charged certain rates. Boone Electric offers peak, off-peak and super-off peak periods. It empowers members to shape their own energy bill. The more tasks you can shift to when the cost is low, the lower your bill will be. While it’s difficult to change the time you heat and cool your home, it can be fairly easy to adjust the time you do other things, like laundry, dishes and charging an electric vehicle.

Off-Peak | 6 a.m.-5 p.m. | 7.5¢

On-Peak | 5-9 p.m. | 18.9¢

Super Off-Peak | 9 p.m.-6 a.m. | 4.9¢
